Questions are pouring in from men and women all over Canada. “Why can’t it be Octobeard?” “Couldn’t we make it a Golf tournament for prostate and testicular cancer?”

However…

Unlike beards and golf, the moustache is a bit of a phenomenon. Vice Magazine describes the Mo’ perfectly:

“Moustaches are like Journey. You start off liking them as a joke but then you’re like, “Hey, these are really good songs.” Then people go, “Are you being ironic?” and you’re all, “I have no idea.” So, in short, they are always good and it doesn’t matter why.”

Movember is bringing back this phenomenon. We’re resurrecting the Mo’ in the hopes that something else will be brought back with it: brotherly love. The camaraderie that men share around a plate of wings; the friendship inherent in poker nights and Monday night football with the guys; the support found in dads coaching little league. Movember wants it all.
